Advanced Close/Executive Protection w/HTP

Our 5 day Advanced Close/Executive Protection w/HTP program is a continuation of our 3 day basic program. Attendees will review basic techniques and receive a variety of advanced information and tactics to enhance their ability to effectively prepare and successfully conduct Protective Services operations. Training blocks include a review of basic program techniques, field exercise Site Surveys and Venue Security, Practical Application Motorcade Driving, Mounted & Dismounted Actions on Contact, HTP (High Threat Protection) Tactics, Tactical Support to Protective Services Details, and a full blown in the field Close/Executive Protection Scenario exercise. (NOTE: Attendees must have attended our 3 day Basic Program or received prior authorized approval to attend)

Basic Casualty Care and Evac for LE

The information and tactics provided in this program are valuable tools for the Police Officer from any size department from any division. Police Officers are faced with critical medical situations everyday. Many times the injuries or wounds to themselves, fellow officers, or innocent by standers require immediate action in order to save themselves or others lives. This 2 day program focuses on basic field trauma care, self-aid, and evacuating the wounded and injured from a hostile environment. The day is broken down into 3 blocks; Care, Evacuation Tactics, and combination scenarios. This is a must have training program that will save lives.

Basic Close/Executive Protection

This 3 day program was developed to fit the needs of Law Enforcement, Security Organizations, and Corrections personnel tasked with protective services of individuals, groups, or even high value commodities.  Professional Close/Executive protection requires specialized training in a variety of areas not commonly taught to Law Enforcement & Security. Training blocks include Threat Analysis, Site Surveys, Route Reconnaissance, Venue Security, Walking Formations, Principal Evacuations, Motorcade Tactics, and live fire range drills specific to Close/Executive Protection scenarios. (NOTE: This program is a pre-requisite to attend our Advanced Close/Executive Protection w/HTP Program)

Basic Haz Mat for Law Enforcement

This course provides an introduction to methods required for positive resolution of emergency hazardous material incidents, including container/vehicle placard identification, personal protective equipment, and methods of containment. We examine the risks associated with Haz Mat at an incident. We discuss site security and controls and the U.S. Department of Transportation?s Emergency Response Guidebook and incorporating ICS at a scene. We address protocol when responding to the scene of a possible biological/chemical package/letter, which may involve establishment of setting up a crime scene for Hazardous Materials.

Blood Borne Pathogen

This training is designed to provide a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, common modes of transmission, and methods of preventing exposure.

Counter Terrorism for Law Enforcement Investigators

An introductory level course intended to equip the investigative law enforcement officer rudimentary skills required to detect and investigate potential terrorist activity, and when necessary, interviewnand interrogate a potential terrorist or group.

Crowd/Riot Control

This course is designed to provide police officers and security personnel with current techniques used to control large crowds for the purpose of riot prevention. In the event a riot occurs the program will provide information and tactics for intervention to ensure safety of police and security personnel while taking steps to ensure the civil rights and safety of the community.

Emergency Medical Technician – Basic

As an Emergency Medical Technician ? Basic, you play a critical role in emergency response to urgent situations and events. As an EMT you will learn how to recognize abnormal physical conditions through analysis of diagnostic signs and symptoms. In addition you will learn how to care for persons with an illness or injury at the scene of an incident and throughout transport to a medical facility while providing critical information to advanced providers ensuring the best possible outcomes for your patients. Basic EMT course is approximately 165 classroom hours and 35 clinical hours with a total of 200 course hours. The Basic EMT course consists of; patient assessment, airway management, medical emergencies, traumatic emergencies, infant through elderly assessment and care as well as pregnancy, childbirth, EMS operations and preparatory.

Enhanced Professionalism

This 1 day program will provide the attendee with knowledge and skills to enhance the professional conduct, appearance, and actions of the individual Officer and the Agency he or she represents. In addition, the skills taught in this presentation will decrease citizen complaints and vicarious liability as well as increase moral among the Officers and Supervisors. The program presentation will cover a full spectrum ranging from basic professionalism through use of force options. The course contains approximately 70% classroom presentation and 30% practical application.

Fighting Pistol

This intense 1 day presentation will provide information and tactics to the student to prepare him/her to survive and win deadly gunfight incidents. Multiple live fire shooting drills and force-on-force scenarios modeled after actual firefight incidents will be included. A lecture block of instruction on tactics and strategies includes actual After Action Reviews of incidents experienced by the Instructors. This course is an absolute must have for all Law Enforcement or armed Security personnel. Round Count: 250 Handgun

Fighting Rifle

This action packed 2 day course incorporates multiple shooting drills modeled after firefight incidents. A lecture block of instruction included After Action Reports on a variety of actual firefight incidents from the battlefields of the Middle East as well as our Law Enforcement community. This course is an absolute must for carbine carrying Law Enforcement, SWAT, Security, and Military personnel. This is not a basic rifle familizaration course, this is a 100% fighting rifle and engagement strategy course for those who are serious about training.

Fraudulent Document Training

This course involves recognizing fraudulent or false documents. We examine the Resident Alien/ Permanent Resident ID Cards, as well as, various U.S. Driver?s Licenses, Social Security Cards, and Visas/Passports in an attempt to identify the security features associated with each. We define holograms, ghost images and micro-printing. We also examine changes in identification and document security in a post 9/11 world. We also discuss facial recognition and biometrics.

Heartsaver AED

This American Heart Association approved course provides Automated External Defibrillator training according to American Heart Association standards. Students will attain American Heart Association HeartsavernAED certification upon successful completion of this course. This certification meets the needs of many state licensure requirements.

Heartsaver CPR & First Aid

Participants will learn CPR, First Aid, and foreign body airway obstruction relief for all age groups. Automated external defibrillation (AED) training will also be provided.

High Risk Prisoner Transport

This 1 day presentation is designed for the Corrections Officer tasked with transportation of prisoners who may be potentially high risk for escape or assassination. Training blocks include Effective Mindset, Professionalism, Dismounted Transport tactics, Mounted Transport tactics, Command Center Operations considerations, and basic Weapons Employment tactics. Law Enforcement Sniper

This 5-day course is designed to teach marksmanship, observation, and operations skills to students who are in a sniper/observer role to support tactical team and Law Enforcement operations. We will cover deployment and employment of Sniper Operators, conduct training operations, and conduct exercises in information gathering, observation, over watch, concealment, and entry operations. Students will conduct live fire drills from ranges out to 100 to 800+ yards (distances dependent upon host facility). This will include firing from modified positions and known and unknown distances.

Low Light Tactics

This one day (12 hours) course is designed to teach the student safe and effective Low Light/No Light Tactics for situations encountered by Patrol Officers on a routine basis. Included in the course is a live fire training block under Low Light / No Light conditions designed to familiarize the officer with the differences and challenges of shoot / no shoot situations encountered under twilight & darkness situations, the time of day when most officer involved shootings occur. This will accomplished through lecture and practical application drills including repetitive dry drills, force on force scenarios specific to Low Light / No Light events, and live fire drills specific to Low Light / No Light events.

Medical First Responder

As a Medical First Responder, you are a first line responder responsible for initiation of life saving treatments to individuals that have been involved in or having a life threatening incident. As an MFR you will learn how to recognize abnormal physical conditions through analysis of diagnostic signs and symptoms. In addition, you will learn how to care for persons with an illness or injury at the scene of an incident while providing critical information to advanced providers ensuring the best possible outcomes for your patients. The Medical First Responder program has approximately 45 classroom hours and 15 practical hours with a total of 60 hours. A Medical First Responder course consists of patient assessment, airway management, medical emergencies, traumatic emergencies, infant through elderly assessment and care as well as pregnancy, childbirth, EMS operations and preparatory. Enrollment: Programs begin throughout the course of the year based on student need at various training locations across the state.

NIMS – Incident Command System for Law Enforcement

This course is designed to meet the needs of Law Enforcement who have responsibilities to deploy, implement, and/or function within an Incident Command System (ICS). This program addresses the need for an incident management system. It provides an overview of the structure, how ICS can be expanded for the nature of the incident and addresses command skills needed by Law Enforcement on the effective use of ICS guidelines, and includes scenario practice on how to apply ICS for all hazards.

Personal Protection Inside the Home (Michigan CPL/CCW)

This NRA approved course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individuals right to self-defense.This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.

Upon successful completion the student will receive a course completion certifciate which will qualify the student to apply for a State of Michigan Concealed Pistol License. Firearms or ammunition are not included in the course.

Due to the fact that this course provides education regarding personal protection it is important that firearm selection is appropriate for that purpose. Due to the nature of the course it mandatory a firearm chambered in a .380 or larger be used for the range portion of the course.

Personal Protection Outside the Home

This NRA approved course, Personal Protection Outside the Home, is a 9 hour classroom and range course which focuses on teaching skills necessary to safely carry a concealed firearm outside the home while doing day to day activities. This course picks up where the Personal Protection in the Home course leaves off and teaches skills including how to safely draw a gun from a concealment hip holster or concealment handbag.

Successful completion of Personal Protection In the Home is a prerequisite for attending Personal Protection Outside the Home. This course is not a class for beginning shooters, it is intended to provide additional skills to citizens that choose to make carrying a firearm part of their daily activiities. You must be able to hit a paper plate at 15 feet with a handgun in order to get the maximum benefit from the range session. Firearms and ammunition is not included in this course.

Physical Security and Protection

This course reviews basic fundamentals and foundations of a physical security of a facility. It explores the proper planning techniques that are required prior to conducting a Physical Security Survey. Emphasis is placed on the perception of threat levels and the likelihood of a location becoming a potential target based on its weaknesses, or vulnerabilities. An introduction to utilization of the various types of physical security devices, such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and systems, types of fencing/barriers, HVAC, access/biometric control bomb blast mitigation and to addressnperimeter security and facility vulnerability.

Policing/Security in a Post-9/11 World

The role of policing has changed forever in the aftermath of the attacks of September 11, 2001. The focus of this course is on the importance of professional, aggressive enforcement, gathering andnrapidly disseminating information and intelligence, and staying abreast of current events. State the mission of law enforcement. We list what law enforcement can do to disrupt terrorist activity. We identify examples of how routine patrol can impact terrorism. We also discuss target hardening, law enforcement?s role when responding to a suspected terrorist act. We identify how to gather and reportnIntelligence with regard to reporting terrorist activity, available resources when dealing with terrorist activity.

School Security & Emergency Preparedness Planning

This course evaluates school emergency and crisis plans, district and building school crisis teams, school safety drills and exercises, school training on emergency and crisis plans, school crisis communications, and related school emergency planning components. We provide proactive, practical, and cost-effective recommendations for school safety and crisis preparedness planning, heightened school security for terrorist threats, school gang prevention and intervention, school security and school police staffing, school security and crisis procedures, physical security, special event management and school crime prevention.

Shots Fired! Officer Survival

This dynamic 2 day program is “must have” training for all professionals who carry a firearm for a living. Primary focus of this presentation is on effective mindset and effect weapon employment as it relates to everyday tasks the Officer may face. A great emphasis is also placed on basic Officer Safety tactics to help avoid a deadly gunfight before it happens. This will be accomplished the desired training goals through minimum lecture and maximum practical application. Training blocks include dry drills, force-on-force scenarios, and a variety of live fire drills specific to “Officer Safety and Shooting Incidents”. Our Instructors will continue to incorporate their real world experiences, the importance of professionalism, proven effective tactics, and the need for continuous training and confidence building exercises.

Small Unit Tactics

The information and tactics provided in this 2 day program are valuable tools for the Officer from any size department. Many dynamic and dangerous situations faced by Officers today require a speedy, effective, and sound response in order to save lives. Not all incidents or locations allow for the time or availability of a SWAT Teams response. The techniques and tactics taught & discussed will help to provide some tools to better equip your personnel to react to and resolve a number of potentially deadly situations. Training blocks include Effective Mindset, effective Weapons Employment techniques, Tactical Movement of Pairs/Groups, Building Clearing, Covering Tactics, Officer Down Rescue, High Risk Prisoner Transport, and Approaches & Withdrawals.

Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)

This program is designed for providers working in austere environments. TCCC is a must have training for EMS personnel working with tactical teams. NAEMT’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care course introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield, under the auspices of the PHTLS program. It is the only TCCC course endorsed by the American College of Surgeons.

NAEMT’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care course (TCCC) was recognized by the Board of Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (BCCTPC) as helping to prepare students to take the TP-C exam..

Tactical Support for Executive/Close Protection – LE Role

Protective Services are common and necessary in today?s dangerous world. Clients, VIPs, and Government personnel routinely travel with Protective Details and rely upon local Law Enforcement within their areas of travel to assist in a number of tasks. This 3-day program will provide information to the student on basic Executive/Close Protection operations with a focus on support operations usually tasked to Law Enforcement. Topics to be covered include mounted / dismounted escorts, shadowing details, advancing and securing venues, actions on contact, motorcade operations and support, hostile evacuation, and much more. Live fire drills simulate real world scenarios. This is an ideal course for all Law Enforcement personnel, SWAT, and other Special Units tasked with support of Protection Details or transporting high-risk prisoners.

Trauma First Response

The Trauma First Response course is a one-day continuing education course that teaches the principles of Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) to non-EMS practitioners, including first responders, police officers, firefighters, rescue personnel and safety officers. It helps them prepare to care for trauma patients while serving as part of a transport team or awaiting a transport provider.

The course serves up core PHTLS content to those who haven?t had EMT or advanced prehospital training. The lectures and practical stations are designed for the type of care first responders can render while awaiting patient transport or when assisting paramedics and EMTs at a trauma scene.
