Advanced Close/Executive Protection w/HTP

Our 5 day Advanced Close/Executive Protection w/HTP program is a continuation of our 3 day basic program. Attendees will review basic techniques and receive a variety of advanced information and tactics to enhance their ability to effectively prepare and successfully conduct Protective Services operations. Training blocks include a review of basic program techniques, field exercise Site Surveys and Venue Security, Practical Application Motorcade Driving, Mounted & Dismounted Actions on Contact, HTP (High Threat Protection) Tactics, Tactical Support to Protective Services Details, and a full blown in the field Close/Executive Protection Scenario exercise. (NOTE: Attendees must have attended our 3 day Basic Program or received prior authorized approval to attend)

Al Qaeda

This course provides an examination and history of al-Qaeda from its infancy to their influence on radical Islamic groups today. There is particular focus on how the application of modern political and management principles fostered the development of the first transnational terrorist organization. We define the goals and ideology of al-Qaeda, al-Qaeda?s opposition to the US and the West, al- Qaeda?s main activities to date, the significance of the al-Qaeda Manual and the group?s influence since September 11, 2001.

Basic Casualty Care and Evac for LE

The information and tactics provided in this program are valuable tools for the Police Officer from any size department from any division. Police Officers are faced with critical medical situations everyday. Many times the injuries or wounds to themselves, fellow officers, or innocent by standers require immediate action in order to save themselves or others lives. This 2 day program focuses on basic field trauma care, self-aid, and evacuating the wounded and injured from a hostile environment. The day is broken down into 3 blocks; Care, Evacuation Tactics, and combination scenarios. This is a must have training program that will save lives.

Basic Close/Executive Protection

This 3 day program was developed to fit the needs of Law Enforcement, Security Organizations, and Corrections personnel tasked with protective services of individuals, groups, or even high value commodities.  Professional Close/Executive protection requires specialized training in a variety of areas not commonly taught to Law Enforcement & Security. Training blocks include Threat Analysis, Site Surveys, Route Reconnaissance, Venue Security, Walking Formations, Principal Evacuations, Motorcade Tactics, and live fire range drills specific to Close/Executive Protection scenarios. (NOTE: This program is a pre-requisite to attend our Advanced Close/Executive Protection w/HTP Program)

Counter Terrorism Course

An investigations level course intended to equip members of the first response community with skills required to identify and deter potential terrorist activity, and when necessary, respond to a potential terrorist attack. Two (2) days of classroom instruction focused on the tactics employed by terrorist organizations to better equip law enforcement personnel with the tools required to proactively and safely address terrorism. Case studies also presented.

Counter Terrorism for Law Enforcement Investigators

An introductory level course intended to equip the investigative law enforcement officer rudimentary skills required to detect and investigate potential terrorist activity, and when necessary, interviewnand interrogate a potential terrorist or group.

Cyberterrorism

This course examines the vulnerabilities associated with information technologies. We discuss some ?dangers of the world wide web? how to protect your home systems and work networks. We discuss best practices for computer and physical security. Terminology and definitions are discussed for those beginner or intermediate computer users. The fastest growing crime of Identity Theft is also addressed. The second part of the course examines use of the Internet by various terrorist organizations for the purpose of recruitment, data mining, propaganda, funding, pre-operational surveillance and communication, as well as case studies that involve the targeting of information technologies by these groups.

Domestic Terrorism

This course provides a history of domestic, hate and radical group acts, an in-depth look at various domestic terrorist organizations (Supremacist groups, Ku Klux Klan, Cult groups, National Alliance, Neo-Nazi, Aryan Nations, ALF, ELF, PETA, Blac Bloc, FALN, Weather Underground, Eric Robert Rudolph, Timothy McVeigh and Unabomber Ted Kaczynski). We discuss differences between right-wing extremists, left-wing extremists, lone wolf terrorists, and Special Interest/Single Issue organizations. Recruitment, indoctrination, use of the Internet are also discussed.

Enhanced Professionalism

This 1 day program will provide the attendee with knowledge and skills to enhance the professional conduct, appearance, and actions of the individual Officer and the Agency he or she represents. In addition, the skills taught in this presentation will decrease citizen complaints and vicarious liability as well as increase moral among the Officers and Supervisors. The program presentation will cover a full spectrum ranging from basic professionalism through use of force options. The course contains approximately 70% classroom presentation and 30% practical application.

Fighting Pistol

This intense 1 day presentation will provide information and tactics to the student to prepare him/her to survive and win deadly gunfight incidents. Multiple live fire shooting drills and force-on-force scenarios modeled after actual firefight incidents will be included. A lecture block of instruction on tactics and strategies includes actual After Action Reviews of incidents experienced by the Instructors. This course is an absolute must have for all Law Enforcement or armed Security personnel. Round Count: 250 Handgun

Fighting Rifle

This action packed 2 day course incorporates multiple shooting drills modeled after firefight incidents. A lecture block of instruction included After Action Reports on a variety of actual firefight incidents from the battlefields of the Middle East as well as our Law Enforcement community. This course is an absolute must for carbine carrying Law Enforcement, SWAT, Security, and Military personnel. This is not a basic rifle familizaration course, this is a 100% fighting rifle and engagement strategy course for those who are serious about training.

High Risk Prisoner Transport

This 1 day presentation is designed for the Corrections Officer tasked with transportation of prisoners who may be potentially high risk for escape or assassination. Training blocks include Effective Mindset, Professionalism, Dismounted Transport tactics, Mounted Transport tactics, Command Center Operations considerations, and basic Weapons Employment tactics. IED’s, Bombs & Explosives

This course provides an introduction to the methods employed in an attack utilizing explosive devices, procedures to employ when responding to a report of a suspected explosive device, and a visual presentation introducing the various types of conventional explosives, including Ammonium Nitrate, Semtex/C4, dynamite, and TNT. We examine the why IED’s are used by terrorists. We explain how bombs function, the damage and injuries they can cause.

International Terrorism

This course provides an examination of the modern history of identified foreign Terrorist Organizations dating back to the 1970?s through today, (Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Black September, Abu Sayyaff, Jemah Islamiah) with particular focus on these organization?s primary spheres of influence and ideologies, methods of funding, past terrorist attacks and potential for attack against U.S. interests both domestically and globally.

International Terrorism and the al-Qaeda Network

An introduction to the methods utilized by a terrorist or a terrorist group, with specific focus on the al-Qaeda network, including the hierarchical structure, an introduction to the methods utilized for training, funding, and gathering intelligence, the operational phases of a terrorist attack, and the process of target selection. This course also examines traditional crimes that have been identified as the means of funding terrorist organizations, including narcotics trafficking, money laundering, currency counterfeiting, tax fraud, coupon fraud, trademark infringement, illegal diamond/mineral smuggling, and kidnapping. Finally, the course examines the behavioral indicators and methodologies associated with the phenomenon of suicide attacks, including self-sacrificing attackers, suicide bombers, and truck bombs.

Introduction to Risk Assessment

An introductory level course intended to equip members of the first response community with skills required to identify and deter potential terrorist activity. This course also introduces the student to the principles of risk assessment (an examination of the vulnerabilities associated with the infrastructure of a facility), basic methods of security, and the major components of a municipality?s critical infrastructure. In addition to classroom instruction, this course includes one (1) day of field exercises, consisting of a mock assessment of the facility. Upon completion, a written assessment will be prepared.

Introduction to Terrorism

This course provides an introduction to the methods utilized by a terrorist or a terrorist group, including the hierarchical structure, an introduction to the methods utilized for training, funding, and gathering intelligence, the operational phases of a terrorist attack, and the process of target selection. We provide an overview of the ideology, policies, procedures, and practices of terrorist organizations. Identify the FBI ?profile? of a terrorist, a domestic terrorist, and an international terrorist.

Introduction to the Islamic Religion for First Responders

This course serves as an introduction to the Islamic religion. Discussed is a brief history of the religion, a look at the various scriptures and the pillars of the religion. We discuss beliefs and terminology related to the Islamic faith. We also provide an in-depth examination of Radical Islamism, with a specific focus on recruitment, ideology, propaganda and Global Jihad.

Law Enforcement Sniper

This 5-day course is designed to teach marksmanship, observation, and operations skills to students who are in a sniper/observer role to support tactical team and Law Enforcement operations. We will cover deployment and employment of Sniper Operators, conduct training operations, and conduct exercises in information gathering, observation, over watch, concealment, and entry operations. Students will conduct live fire drills from ranges out to 100 to 800+ yards (distances dependent upon host facility). This will include firing from modified positions and known and unknown distances.

Low Light Tactics

This one day (12 hours) course is designed to teach the student safe and effective Low Light/No Light Tactics for situations encountered by Patrol Officers on a routine basis. Included in the course is a live fire training block under Low Light / No Light conditions designed to familiarize the officer with the differences and challenges of shoot / no shoot situations encountered under twilight & darkness situations, the time of day when most officer involved shootings occur. This will accomplished through lecture and practical application drills including repetitive dry drills, force on force scenarios specific to Low Light / No Light events, and live fire drills specific to Low Light / No Light events.

Maritime Terrorism

This course provides an introduction to the methods that terrorist organizations have utilized to target maritime facilities and passenger- bearing craft, as well as threats associated with protecting bridges and underwater tunnels from terrorist attack. This course examines challenges associated with securing marine terminals, particularly in reference to the receipt, storage, and distribution of commercial containers, and also introduces the student to the major law enforcement agencies tasked with monitoring, regulating and investigating these various industries.

Personal Protection Inside the Home (Michigan CPL/CCW)

This NRA approved course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individuals right to self-defense.This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.

Upon successful completion the student will receive a course completion certifciate which will qualify the student to apply for a State of Michigan Concealed Pistol License. Firearms or ammunition are not included in the course.

Due to the fact that this course provides education regarding personal protection it is important that firearm selection is appropriate for that purpose. Due to the nature of the course it mandatory a firearm chambered in a .380 or larger be used for the range portion of the course.

Personal Protection Outside the Home

This NRA approved course, Personal Protection Outside the Home, is a 9 hour classroom and range course which focuses on teaching skills necessary to safely carry a concealed firearm outside the home while doing day to day activities. This course picks up where the Personal Protection in the Home course leaves off and teaches skills including how to safely draw a gun from a concealment hip holster or concealment handbag.

Successful completion of Personal Protection In the Home is a prerequisite for attending Personal Protection Outside the Home. This course is not a class for beginning shooters, it is intended to provide additional skills to citizens that choose to make carrying a firearm part of their daily activiities. You must be able to hit a paper plate at 15 feet with a handgun in order to get the maximum benefit from the range session. Firearms and ammunition is not included in this course.

Protecting Critical Infrastructure

This course examines both traditional and non-traditional targets terrorists may choose to attack, as well as identifying facility vulnerabilities and making recommendations relative to the most appropriate form of countermeasure. We examine critical infrastructure categories, the meaning of ?credible threat?, why terrorists choose certain targets and the most likely scenarios of terrorist attacks against critical infrastructure targets.

Public Transportation and Terrorism

This course provides an introduction to the methods that terrorist organizations have utilized to target mass transit, light rail and freight rail targets in the past, as well as a comprehensive review of the use of the US roadways for the transport of commerce and hazardous materials. Various case studies are examined.

Suicide Terrorism

This course provides an examination of methodologies associated with the phenomenon of suicide attacks, including self-sacrificing attackers, suicide bombers, and Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices. We examine principals associated with VBIEDs and the methods and tactics utilized to screen people and vehicles and address operational procedural safety issues. We also Identify stages in the evolution of the suicide attacker.

Tactical Support for Executive/Close Protection – LE Role

Protective Services are common and necessary in today?s dangerous world. Clients, VIPs, and Government personnel routinely travel with Protective Details and rely upon local Law Enforcement within their areas of travel to assist in a number of tasks. This 3-day program will provide information to the student on basic Executive/Close Protection operations with a focus on support operations usually tasked to Law Enforcement. Topics to be covered include mounted / dismounted escorts, shadowing details, advancing and securing venues, actions on contact, motorcade operations and support, hostile evacuation, and much more. Live fire drills simulate real world scenarios. This is an ideal course for all Law Enforcement personnel, SWAT, and other Special Units tasked with support of Protection Details or transporting high-risk prisoners.

Terrorist Funding

This course provides an introduction to and examination of traditional crimes that have been identified as the means of funding terrorist organizations, including narcotics trafficking, money laundering, currency counterfeiting, credit card fraud, coupon fraud, trademark infringement, illicit charitable organizations and kidnapping. We explain how terrorist organizations move their funds, the ways to recognize suspicious transactions, thee terrorist use of the Hawala system to covertly move funds. We also discuss resources available to combat terrorist funding.

Terrorist Surveillance

This course will aid in the understanding of hostile surveillance methodology, the different types of hostile surveillance and measures that can be taken to detect hostile surveillance. This segment of instruction defines the various types of surveillance (foot, vehicular, and technological) and serves to introduce the concepts of hostile surveillance and counter-surveillance. We discuss steps followed by most terrorist organizations in planning attacks, various indicators of terrorist planning and indicators that can used to recognize those actions. We examine suspicious activity that would indicate terrorist activity. We examine various case studies.

Terrorist Tactics and Training

This course provides an examination of captured video footage retrieved from terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan that document the tactics and training techniques utilized to train al-Qaeda, and other, terrorist operatives. We examine the various types of operations that are employed by terrorist operatives and we identify methods to prevent or interrupt these attacks. We identify the tactics utilized by terrorist operatives for room and/or facility entry, the use of motorcycles, explosives, the function of role players as a function of operational training and specific scenarios related to targeted assassinations and kidnappings.

Trauma First Response

The Trauma First Response course is a one-day continuing education course that teaches the principles of Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) to non-EMS practitioners, including first responders, police officers, firefighters, rescue personnel and safety officers. It helps them prepare to care for trauma patients while serving as part of a transport team or awaiting a transport provider.

The course serves up core PHTLS content to those who haven?t had EMT or advanced prehospital training. The lectures and practical stations are designed for the type of care first responders can render while awaiting patient transport or when assisting paramedics and EMTs at a trauma scene.

Weapons of Mass Destruction

This course provides a history of Chemical, Biological and Nuclear weapon use. Various agents/devices, including an examination of the types of terrorist groups that would utilize such agents, the methods of agent dissemination, the identification of symptoms that result in mass casualty patterns, and a definition of responsibilities of responders at the scene of a suspected release of a CBRN agent. Case studies are also discussed
